If your PC taking forever to boot up then listen up, I’ve got a nifty little tip that should hopefully help with your Windows boot up traumas.
But first things first…
You’ll want to optimize your PC for best performance as this works a lot better on a healthy PC.
Now instead of me writing a massive article on the art of speeding up your PC, it would be far easier if you just download this report and follow that.

Once you’ve done what you needed to do optimization-wise, then all you have to do is download this free software.

Just install it and click on the “Faster Shutdowns” file and that’s it.
What you’ve just done is optimize your registry for quicker boot up times!

Alternatively, create a shortcut on your desktop for the following: shutdown /t 1 /s which shutsdown your computer with a timeout of 1 before killing processes (if you want you can set it a little longer). Then if you want fast shutdowns you can click on this, if you want to be sure you don’t lose data use normal shutdown. I believe the batch file is merely invoking the myth that processing idle tasks speeds up your computer (http://lifehacker.com/5033518/), although the defrag looks good.
