Kaspersky review: Should You invest?

Author: James @ PCPerformanceTips.com - Categories: Kaspersky review - Tags: Kaspersky review

Hey everybody, I’m back with a recommendation for home security software.

There are tons of these bad boys out there, each promising to help speed up your computer and remove unwanted items from your hard drive, so where’s the best place to look? I know I’d usually like to promote free products but I recently purchased Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 and it’s been working wonders for me. I don’t actually use all of the features they loaded onto it but for the few I need I couldn’t be happier with. Here’s my Kaspersky review :

Even though I know how to manage my machine and maximize its performance, there are just some things I can’t do for myself and I finally caved to get a high quality security software. Kaspersky basically sits in the background and does everything for me that I don’t have time to do and would rather avoid if I could. I wouldn’t be writing this Kaspersky review it I wasn’t super impressed with its abilities.

Their comprehensive package provides, of course, real-time protection against all viruses, spam, trojans, worms, rootkits, bots, and basically everything else that attacks you’re computer when you least expect it. These things all help to drag down your computer speed and clutter up your hard drive with unwanted programs. It’s a nuisance to have to find these on your own or let them cause serious damage to your system so it’s always a good idea to have a security software running at all times. The effectiveness of the Kaspersky software and its incredible ease of use definitely boost my overall Kaspersky review score.

I couldn’t complete my Kaspersky review without mentioning one of the great features included in the Kaspersky package: the Gamer Mode. This mode makes it so that the software will never be draining your computer performance while you’re playing a game. I personally love this feature since there’s nothing worse than a software scan kicking on in the middle of a raid. The guys over at Kaspersky knew what they were doing with this one.

My main concern with all my computer use, however, is making sure that my identity remains my own. There’s nothing worse than thinking someone is going to run off with all my credit card info and passwords and wreak havoc on my name. For the Kaspersky review I tried out a few tricks up my sleeve to test the effectiveness of the product and it passed with flying colors. The program has a great identity protection to handle this, blocking hackers from accessing your personal information and utilizing anti-phishing defenses that protect your passwords.

If you’re into this sort of thing, which isn’t necessarily up my alley, Kaspersky also provides great family protection controls so that you can restrict access to certain programs or sites on your computer. I have to include this in my Kaspersky review because it’s probably important to a lot of parents out there. If you’re worried about your kids accidentally releasing your information or something then Kaspersky is the way to go. Control downloads, prevent them from releasing information, and even block certain IM sites and social networks if you feel like it.

And, of course, the best part of actually purchasing your security software is the constant stream of necessary updates that they’ll let you install as a part of the package. Any time something important comes up or they update their software to stay up to date, you’ll be privy to that download so your computer will always be as protected as possible.

I’ve always believed that the most important thing you can do for your computer is make sure that it isn’t being ruined by malicious programmers out there. You can work all you want to keep your computer running smoothly and take care of everything you’d like, but sometimes it’s completely out of your control what happens to your computer via the Internet. Protect yourself from malicious spyware and dangerous programs from attacking your system with an actual security program.

Kaspersky should cover all of your needs, and it even comes with loads of extra features to boot. I hope my Kaspersky review helped you come to some conclusions about purchasing security software. This program will help you maintain your online identity, increase your computer’s performance speed, control your family’s use, and always be on top of the latest security threats to your computer. It’s really worth the investment.

Registry Easy Review: Any Good Or Flat-Out Scam?

Author: James @ PCPerformanceTips.com - Categories: Registry Easy Review - Tags: Registry Easy Review

Hey all, I’m back again with another review.

People are always begging for advice on speeding up their computers and eliminating all the junk that builds up over time so I thought I’d recommend a program that handles both of these. Registry Easy will scan your computer for you, isolating everything unnecessary and letting you know about them before tossing them out forever. This program will really help boost your computer’s performance and completely unclutter your hard drive. Without further ado, here’s my Registry Easy review :

Chances are your computer came with some built-in disk cleanup software and maybe you’ve used it once or twice, but those built-in programs never quite achieve everything you’re looking for. If they did, I wouldn’t be writing this Registry Easy review. They’ll help get clean out your old Internet cache but they don’t do all that much in the way of really boosting your computer’s performance.

Registry Easy completely scans your computer to get out everything old and unnecessary, readying your computer for drastically increased speeds. A thorough cleanup will also considerably help to reduce the number of errors you’ll encounter and the always feared blue screen of death you’re probably all too familiar with. In doing research for this Registry Easy review I found the software to be incredibly effective and it even helped out my well-maintained computer. Registry Easy does a thorough scan for you and you’ll notice increased speeds pretty much immediately.

The software doesn’t stop there, though. It searches for common errors that you’ve been experiencing and works to eliminate them. By deleting duplicate files, unnecessary files, and altering some of your preferences, this software will help reduce the number of errors you’ll experience on a day to day basis and just make life much more pleasant for you. Not everyone can go through their computers and hunt out the roots for every problem, and nobody can or would want to scan their entire hard drive to eliminate all of the superfluous files on there. My research for this Registry Easy review found that this software is highly effective in this regard and does a top-notch job tracking down unwanted files.

Registry Easy also works to optimize your Internet experience. If you’re tired of pop-up ads or just advertisements in general, this software will help to eliminate those nuisances and make your viewing experience more of a pleasure. Pop-ups slow down your computer and changing banners can be completely obnoxious. Registry Easy gets rid of these things for you, considerably speeding up your browser while simultaneously just making being on the Internet a bit nicer for you. This is definitely a big plus for my Registry Easy review.

I really like this software and recommend it to everyone because it’s very easy to use and it can probably handle everything you need to boost your performance and unclutter your disk. Anyone can use this program, so that’s a huge plus, but it also really does deliver great results that can’t be beaten by many other programs out there. I, at least, haven’t come across something simpler and more effective in all my searches.

So if you’re looking to get a bit more out of your computer and have it running like you remember it used to, go out and download this beast. Registry Easy will eliminate all those unwanted errors, reduce lag time, speed up your Internet experience, and just make your whole user experience a bit better. I hope my Registry Easy review makes locating the right disk cleaning software for your computer. Get out there and download this program. You’ll be glad you did.

Make Windows Faster Using Graphics Automation Technique

Author: James @ PCPerformanceTips.com - Categories: Make Windows Faster Using Graphics Automation Technique - Tags: Make Windows Faster, Make Windows Faster Using Graphics Automation Technique

Hey everyone James here

Today I’ve got a really quick tip you can use on your PC to speed it up.

Well actually you may already know how to do this but I’m gonna show you a really cool way to automate it.

This basically means whenever you start up any program you desire, be it an app, program or even your fave game, Windows will automatically optimize your graphics settings therefore freeing up essential resources like the Ram, CPU and graphics and dedicate it to whatever program you want to run.

Cool eh.

The old method involved you to do this manually which wasn’t a big deal or anything but doing it the way I’m about to show you saves you doing this ever again.

This funky trick works on all Windows operating systems by the way so it doesn’t matter if you’ve got Windows XP, Vista, or the brand spanking new Windows 7… You’re good to go with this tweak regardless.

Anyway that’s enough of me rambling on, here’s the vid

Tweak Boy’s PC Optimizer Review… Worth Your Time?

Author: James @ PCPerformanceTips.com - Categories: Tweak Boy's PC Optimizer Review - Tags: PC Optimizer, PC Optimizer Review, Tweak Boy, Tweak Boy's PC Optimizer, Tweak Boy's PC Optimizer Review

I was surfing the Internet the other day and ran across a glowing review of a new product offering over at Tweakboy.net. The review was so good, I started to doubt the reviewer was legit, but the premise of the guide was too good to ignore.

This product, created by Tweak Boy, someone we’ve all heard from once or twice in the PC repair forums, claimed it could make any PC run faster and smoother within a few hours, just by doing some simple maintenance on the PC. It was a bold claim and one that PC owners everywhere will perk up at hearing.

But, as a long time PC owner, I had to put it to the test. I’ve seen a lot of so called “tricks” that do little more than turn off all your features and call it “faster”. So, before I would call it a hoax or a full blown solution, I figured I’d give this new guide a test run and report back with my thoughts.

Time For A Test Run

I tested Tweak Boy’s PC Optimizer over the course of a week on an old computer I have in my basement – one that’s rarely used anymore and hasn’t had any maintenance done in three or four years at best. I did some basic benchmarks to confirm that the computer was in fact awful and ran slower than when I bought it.

The PC which was built way back in 2004 and it was top of the line at the time. It should run anything that came out within about two years of them with ease, but I can’t even get Farcry to play smoothly, so you can imagine it’s not exactly cruising along.

I did the maintenance outlined by Tweakboy every day for the entire week, and made sure to use my PC as much as possible, just doing some basic web browsing, Facebooking and YouTube – the usual nonsense I do when I’m half asleep.

So What Was The Results?

Well by day 8, I did a new set of benchmarks. I was blown away. Everything – and I mean everything – had improved at least 100%. Some things were performing 3 or 4 times better than they had before. Not only did Farcry run now, it ran a rock-solid 60 frames per second.

It boot up in about 15 seconds, rather than the two minutes it used to take. It opened web pages instantly, it shut down in seconds. This was the computer I had bought in 2004. I was blown away.

The lesson? Don’t judge anything based on it seeming too good to be true. Tweak Boy’s PC Optimizer is the real deal. I’ll be using his system on all my PCs from now on.
